This past week...

Hello All,

It's been a while since I've posted. Life has been a bit crazy lately, and I guess I havn't really sat down to blog anything. I had the opportunity to be a part of the Making Things Happen tour when it came to Atlanta a few days ago, and needless to say a lot has been on my mind. I've done a lot of self-reflection and prayer. I decided to make a video blog to get my feelings out. This is way out of my comfort zone, I usually don't like talking to thers about my feelings, etc, but I want you to know a little more about me and who I am.

So here we go....click on the link below to watch. Sorry for the lengthy video. Decided to do one take, so here's the result. Have a fabulous day!

Warmest,
Annette

  3. Annetta, I've always been proud of you...but this...this is just awesome. I'm happy others get to see who you are behind the gowns, the Annetta we've always been blessed with. Glad to see your early sketches of my shoes didn't discourage you.:D

  6. Annette, your candidness and sincerity was so incredibly refreshing to watch. So far I have seen your video as well as Emily Ley's and Dana LaRue's (aka The Broke-Ass Bride) and each of you have truly put your hearts out there after the MTH intensives in such an inspiring way. Thanks so much for sharing, and I hope to meet you one day soon!

  8. Annette - I can't tell you how surprised & touched I was to see this video blog. You have always been a wonderful person & beautiful friend to me & I want you to know that I DO see God working in you. Your heart shines through in all that you do - there are precious few people in my life who inspire me & I'm proud to say that you're one of them. I know this was a big step for you to be able to do this & I want to acknowledge how proud I am that you did it. Being authentic & real is a daily challenge for each of us & I applaud you for stepping up to the plate. Congratulations on all you have accomplished thus far - I know it's only the beginning for you. May God richly bless this new chapter in your life - I will be praying for you as I always have.

  11. Annette, I know it's a late message but i just happened to be clicking through your website (looking at your precious gowns) and I saw your video blog. I want you to know that I thank God for not letting me sleep and putting all the thoughts in my mind that led me to this blog. It was exactly what I needed to hear tonight before actually falling asleep and God has used you to talk to me. Your words have given me hope and assurance that I'm not alone in this inner fight of reinventing myself and letting others see the real me through the eyes of Christ. I have to admit that at times I've been quick to judge others' actions and/or appearences without really letting myself see them through. I'm not talking about you here, (just in case..lol)just about all the people we encounter in our lives on a daily basis and sometimes tend to misinterpret just because of some sort of stereotype about who they must be according to the "norm". Tonight God has taught me a lesson through you and I want to thank you for that. I learned that sometimes it's good for us to seem part of some sort of stereotype because it gives us the chance to show the world who we really are and make a difference in someone's life. You should know I think you are precious to God and the people around you (including me now)and I'd like to encourage you to keep doing what you're doing and how you're doing it and God will pour down all the blessings that he has prepared for your life. Right now you are the role model for me. The person who inspired me to not only want to be a beautiful woman outside but inside as well. The person that showed me God wants his beautiful christian daughters to shine in this world of darkness and succeed in every aspect of life and have the world witness it. You are letting the world witness your success of love and true life and I couldn't be more proud of you. Thank you for being you, taking the time and having the courage to show it. God Bless! =]
